We're Back

I apologize for the lack of action on this blog for the past month. Carrie has been wanting to post a "vacation wrap-up" for a couple of weeks now, but she keeps forgetting to transfer the pictures from our camera to the computer. Hopefully she'll get to that this week so everyone can see some pics from our fun trip Up North (I wonder what non-Michiganians think when we say "Up North"-do you think that they think we take trips up to Canada or the Yukon Territory or something?).

Otherwise, things are going ok in the life of the Evans'. Jonah had a nasty asthma flare-up this past weekend and he was a pretty miserable little guy. We had to take him in to the Pediatrician on Sunday and he was put on oral steroids. I will say that with that and his daily regimen of nebulized steroids, he could rival Barry Bonds' steroidal intake in his prime. Poor kid. His coughing gets especially worse at night, so Saturday and Sunday nights were fairly sleepless for Carrie and me. Thankfully, he did better yesterday and he slept well through the night last. Unfortunately, it seems that Carrie is coming down with a cold now too.

Lauren is now five months old! She had her first taste of rice cereal yesterday and seemed to enjoy it (Jonah had some too....he did not think it was too bad).
