Today is Jonah's last day of kindergarten and he will be a big first grader!! He is so excited to be in first grade...but not to be out of school. He told me that he doesn't want to stay home everyday, he likes school and wants to go. I think he'll change his mind when he understands that no school means playing outside more, swimming, and having fun! At least that is what we will attempt to do this summer! When he gets home today we are having a last day of school celebration and doing whatever he wants to do. He wants to go to the park by the lake, Ramona Park, and eat lunch. So that is what we are going to do and it's going to be a great day for it! The best part of summer for Jonah is July 25. July 25 is the day we leave for Lake Leelanau and he lives for these 2 weeks all year long!
Lauren had her first haircut yesterday! She was not at all excited about going, even though she loves Pam our hairdresser. She cried getting up into the big chair and then held her face down and looked so sad to lose some hair! Pam and I were trying to make it so fun and talking about how fun it is to come and have your hair done, but she wasn't buying it! She did start to brighten up as we were there and of course, really got happy when it was over and she got to pick a sucker. My kids live for suckers from Pam! She did great though and was happy showing off her new "do" to Mimi, Jonah and Daddy later!
Landon is 7 weeks old today! It still feels like April. He is growing, weighing in at 8 pounds exactly and is just a little bundle still! Yea! I now have to hide him in his car seat for nap time or lock my bedroom door while he is taking a nap in the cradle. Lauren will not leave her little brother alone! It drives her crazy to see him just laying there resting, she wants him to play! I have been joking that Landon has been french kissed way too much and by his sister. I know it sounds kinda gross, but it's true. She has to literally cover his whole face with her kiss! He just lays there and takes it. Good thing, because I don't think her loving is going to stop! Jonah loves to hold him and keep track of where he is and what he is doing. I think they are all going to have great times together growing up!

How cute... My brother and sister in law had to hide the baby from his big sissy too. She just wanted to hug and kiss him non stop too!! It was nice talking to you at the park...
